Fund helps children in foster care in Davidson Co.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, N.C. — The Department of Social Services says people can donate and help five children taken from a Union County home.

The children were taken from a Monroe home last week after an 11-year-old foster child was found handcuffed to a porch with a dead chicken on his neck.

The fund was set up to benefit all children in foster care in Davidson County.

The Carolyn Phillips Fund was set up. Donations can be made to P.O. Box 788, Lexington, NC 27293.
