CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Mecklenburg County Commissioner Neil Cooksey will be laid to rest on Saturday.
Cooksey had been battling pancreatic cancer for two years and died on Wednesday.
Cooksey was 51 years old. He leaves behind his wife and three children.
The funeral will be held at Carmel Presbyterian Church at 3:00 p.m. The public is welcome to attend.
