GASTON COUNTY, N.C. - Gaston County is inviting neighbors to come see
its newest ambulance on Sunday.
Starting at 2
p.m., the new vehicle will be on display at South Pointe Volunteer Fire Department in Belmont.
Dozens of people spent years pushing for the new ambulance before county commissioners approved the purchase in June.
The Gaston Gazette reports that the new vehicle should help reduce response times by up to six minutes in certain parts of the county.
