Someone in Mebane, N.C., dropped a gold coin worth $1,600 into a Salvation Army kettle.
The coin was donated outside a Lowe's Foods store Tuesday.
The Salvation Army of Alamance County said this is the third year in a row someone has anonymously put a gold coin in a kettle.
