'Homeland' grabs top honor at Emmy Awards

CHARLOTTE, N.C. —

A television show that is shot around the Queen City took top honors at Sunday night’s Emmy Awards.

The terrorism thriller "Homeland" won best dramatic series.

Claire Danes won an Emmy for best lead actress in a drama series.

Damian Lewis won for best lead actor in a drama series.

The series also won an Emmy for its writing.
