Hundreds expected to rally for prayer at Rowan Co. Commissioners meeting

ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. — On Monday night, hundreds of people are expected to rally for prayer before the Rowan County Commissioners meeting.

A federal judge ordered the commissioners not to pray because they are in a federal battle with the American Civil Liberates Union.

The ACLU filed a lawsuit on behalf of three Rowan County residents seeking to stop prayer before meetings.

Return America, a Christian organization based near Winston-Salem, is hosting Monday's rally that starts at 5:30 p.m.
