CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Parts of Independence Boulevard will be closed this week due to a road widening project.
The eastbound lanes from Sharon Amity Road and Conference Drive will be closed from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. from now until Thursday.
Starting Sunday, the westbound lanes on the same road will be closed and will follow the same schedule.
The project is set to be completed in October 2016.
