Indian Trail Council against school redistricting

INDIAN TRAIL, N.C. — The town of Indian Trail took on the controversial Union County school redistricting issue Wednesday night.

Town officials held a community meeting on a resolution against the plan.

Wesley Chapel and Stallings have already signed similar resolutions.

The school district wants to move almost 6,000 students into different schools to ease overcrowding.

Earlier this week, the board of county commissioners offered to spend $3 million on trailers as an alternative to redistricting.
