Infant, 2 others injured in wreck, troopers say

LINCOLN COUNTY, N.C. — An infant and two others were taken to a hospital after a wreck in Lincoln County, according to N.C. Highway Patrol troopers.
 
Officials said a car was traveling east around 1:30 p.m. Thursday on Highway 150 toward Lincolnton when it lost control, went off the shoulder, over-corrected and then crossed the center line.
 
The car hit another vehicle. The first vehicle went over the guardrail.
 
A mother and infant in the first car were injured. The infant, who was in a car seat, was taken to Carolinas Medical Center with broken legs.
 
The mother and the other driver were taken to Carolinas Medical Center - Lincoln.
 
Troopers said charges are pending.
