GASTONIA, N.C. - A murder trial in Gastonia was delayed Thursday morning after a juror was caught napping during testimony.
Juror number three admitted to dozing off during testimony in the Steve Neely trial and the judge immediately dismissed him.
Another juror had child care issues and could not make it to court Thursday.
There is only one alternate juror, so the judge delayed the trial until Friday.
Neely is charged with stabbing and killing his ex-wife's new husband. He was expected to take the stand Thursday.
