Kannapolis man charged with indecent liberties with a child, police say

KANNAPOLIS, N.C. — Police have charged a Kannapolis man with indecent liberties with a child, Channel 9's partners at the Independent Tribune reported.

Derick Brazil, 36, of Mary Wynn Court, was arrested on Wednesday, police said.

A Kannapolis police representative said the Department of Social Services alerted police to the case.

Brazil is expected to appear in court on Monday.

The investigation is still ongoing.
