KANNAPOLIS, N.C. —

The teenager who the Kannapolis Police Department has been searching for since Friday was found Saturday morning, according to family members.

Bryan Parker’s sister said the 19-year-old was found in an abandoned warehouse.

Police haven’t released details on what happened, but said Parker was found safe and was returned to his family.

Kannapolis investigators asked for the public’s help Friday, saying Parker, who officials said has a mental disability, was last seen Thursday night after leaving a friend’s house on Buick Avenue.

They said Parker told his friend he was going to a church on Bethpage Road to eat, but Parker didn’t return home that night or show up at school Friday.

The Kannapolis Police Department sent an update on Saturday morning, saying Parker was last seen between 8 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Midway United Methodist Church near the corner of South Main Street and Bethpage Road.

They said he possibly left with a woman named Angie, but officials were still trying to confirm her identity.
