Lanes reopened after tractor trailer overturns on I-485

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Emergency crews had to close two lanes of Interstate 485 in southwest Charlotte Monday morning for nearly two hours after a tractor trailer overturned.

The big rig flipped on its side in the outer loop lanes near Steele Creek Road just after 8:30 a.m.

Officials had to close the two left lanes of the outer loop while a specialized tow truck was called in to remove the tractor trailer. All lanes were reopened just after 10 a.m.

No injuries were reported in the crash.
