CHARLOTTE, N.C. - A lawsuit against the merger of American and US Airways will go to trial as scheduled next month despite the government shutdown.
The Department of Justice requested a delay on Tuesday.
It said the shutdown would keep it from preparing.
A judge said the merger had already been delayed too long by the government's lawsuit and that the case needs to be resolved.
