Legends Big Money 100 returns to Speedway next week

CONCORD, N.C. — The Legends Big Money 100 returns to the Charlotte Motor Speedway in less than a week.

The two-day racing event that features the only $100,000 purse in Legends Car racing will be held July 2 and 3 and features drivers Darrell Wallace Jr., Daniel Hemric, Gray Gaulding and Kyle Plott.

Plott won last year’s race.

There is also a pre-race concert Tuesday, featuring the band Charity Case. After the race, CMS will host the area’s first July 4 fireworks display.

Competitor registration for the event is still open online at www.charlottemotorspeedway.com/tickets/legends_big_money_100/.

Spectator gates open at 1 p.m. Monday for qualifying and heat racing and 9:30 a.m. Tuesday. The pre-race concert and driver autograph session is set to start at 6 p.m. with opening ceremonies for the Legends Big Money 100 A-Feature at 7:30 p.m.
