LINCONTON, NC — An Iron Station man pleaded guilty on Friday for sexually assaulting an 8-year-old girl.
Peter Justin Desveaux Jr., 26, will serve at least 20 years in prison.

Deputies began investigating Desveaux Jr. after the victim was interviewed at the Lincoln County Child Advocacy Center. The girl told them Desveaux sexually assaulted her and then gave her money and asked her not to tell anyone.
Desveaux allegedly admitted to the abuse while being interviewed by detectives.
He’s was charged with felony crime against nature, indecent liberties, and sex offense with a child.
The maximum prison sentence is 29 years.
