Local pastor faces criminal charges

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A Mecklenburg County pastor who Channel 9 has investigated before is facing criminal charges.

The Rev. Bruce Little is the head of the Miracle House of Hope and he's charged with assault by strangulation, assault on a female and communicating threats.

His wife said it was a family issue and a disciplinary problem with his child that got out of hand.

A Channel 9 investigation looked into the Miracle House of Hope in 2013.

The ministry offers Bible study and beds to men and women with drug, alcohol abuse and other problems.

Those in the ministry are sent onto the streets five days a week with a brochure and bucket asking for donations.

But some said they have to meet a $75 quota or they can't go back to the ministry.
