CONCORD, N.C. - A 30-year-old man could face additional charges after police said he raped a 14-year-old girl he met in a chat room.
Deputies in Rowan County arrested Joseph Layton at his home in Concord.
They said he first met the girl online in May while he was posing as an 18-year-old.
Deputies said he lured her to Concord, and then met her again at a hotel in Salisbury in June.
