Man arrested in connection with August 2017 homicide in Salisbury

SALISBURY, N.C. — Police have arrested a man in connection with the August 2017 shooting death of a Rowan County man.

Officials with the Salisbury Police Department said Travaree D’Von Miller, of Rockwell, was arrested around 9:45 a.m. Monday in connection with the Aug. 27 murder of Kornell Marquis Cook.

Authorities said Miller was served with a warrant for murder and discharging a weapon into occupied property. He’s been placed in the Rowan County Detention Center under no bond, officials said.

Police said they are still actively looking for 18-year-old Xavier Dionne Lowe, of Salisbury, who is wanted in connection with Miller’s death.
