Man arrested in Gaston County after holding ex-girlfriend hostage

GASTON COUNTY, N.C. — A man was arrested Saturday night in Gaston County after he forced his way into a woman’s home and held her hostage.

Gaston County authorities, after attempting to negotiate, entered the home in the 1000 block of Old Dallas Highway near Dallas.

Scott Warren Flow, 48, of Fort Mill, South Carolina, is facing charges of first-degree burglary, first-degree kidnapping and violation of domestic violence protective order.

The woman was held against her will at the home, but her children escaped and notified a neighbor, police said.

Officials said Flow and the woman had previously dated.

Flow is at the Gaston County Jail and no bond has been set.
