CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Charlotte-Mecklenburg police arrested a man in a North Charlotte business park shooting Friday night.
Police said they charged 37-year-old Marcus Darnell Turner with the murder of 41-year-old Derrick Lee Miller.
According to authorities, Turner found his wife with Miller in a car parked along Northpark Boulevard off Reames Road. Turner called 911 and told police that he had shot Miller after finding the two together. Police said Turner claimed to not know who the victim was and had never seen him before the incident.
The shooting happened around 10:45 p.m. Friday night at the Northpark Business Park. When police arrived on scene, they located the victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
Medic pronounced Miller dead on scene.
Turner was transported to the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s office, where he will remain intheir custody.
