Man arrives at hospital shot in both legs

ELIZABETH, N.C. — Police said a man arrived at Presbyterian Hospital in Elizabeth, with gunshot wounds in both legs.

Officers said the shooting happened just after midnight on Marlowe Avenue in west Charlotte.

They received several calls reporting shots being fired, but when they reported to the scene, only shell casings were found on the ground.

The man later went to the hospital.

Police have not said what led up to the shooting.
