STATESVILLE, N.C. — David Simpson was arrested Sunday and charged with assaulting a person with disabilities.
Officials said that Simpson went into a home on Old Charlotte Road in Statesville, where he yelled, cursed and asked about a backpack.
The woman in the home said she told him he was in the wrong house, and on his way out, he shoved her daughter, who has disabilities.
