CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Police arrested a man who troopers said led them on a chase through north Charlotte late Tuesday night.
Channel 9 was on the scene after the suspect crashed on Graham Street near Ennis Avenue shortly before midnight.
Troopers said they first tried to pull over 36-year-old Jackie Jones because he was speeding.
The chase lasted about three minutes, according to troopers, and was contained to the area of Graham and Interstate 85.
Troopers then performed a PIT maneuver on Jones’ car, sending it off the right side of the road and striking a telephone pole.
Jones was not hurt and was booked on numerous charges, including felony speeding to elude and DWI.
