Man dies after motorcycle runs off road in Chesterfield

CHESTERFIELD — One person died on Friday night in a single-vehicle accident.

Police said Billy Joe Parks, 63, of Great Falls, was traveling south of S.C. 97 in Chesterfield when he ran off the road down in an embankment.

Parks was driving a 2005 Harley-Davidson motorcycle and was ejected. He was not wearing a helmet.

The victim was transported to Springs Memorial Hospital where he died from his injuries.

Police have not said what the cause of the accident was.
