Man with disabilities inspiring young athletes in Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A man who defied the odds is inspiring young athletes in Charlotte.

Kyle Maynard was born with arms that ended at his elbows and legs that end at his knees.

That didn't stop him from becoming a championship wrestler.

Maynard also recently climbed Mount Kilimanjaro without prosthetics.

On Thursday, he was in Charlotte speaking with the YMCA Miracle League for Kids with physical and cognitive disabilities.

"No matter what the limitation is, if you want something bad enough, you can get after it," Maynard said.

Maynard has also won two ESPY awards which is given out by ESPN.
