Man in hospital after kidnapping, assault

ALEXANDER COUNTY, N.C. — The Alexander County Sheriff's Office is searching for four men that kidnapped, beat and robbed another man Tuesday morning.

Two of the suspects have been identified as Michael Dwayne Stacy, II, 20, of Taylorsville, and Darvis James Stacy, 24, of Conover. Warrants have been issued for their arrest.

The other two suspects have not been identified yet.

Deputies say the men kidnapped, assaulted and robbed a man Tuesday morning, taking his wallet and jewelry, and left him in Alexander County where he was found on Liberty Lane.

The victim was taken to the hospital for head injuries.

Officers believe the suspects left the area in a newer-model white Audi car with aftermarket rims. They are believed to be armed with an AK-47 assault rifle and several handguns, and should be considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information about the suspects or the kidnapping should call the Sheriff's office at 828-632-4658 or Crime Stoppers at 828-632-8555.
