CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police said a man was hospitalized after being the target of a drive-by shooting in west Charlotte early Wednesday morning.
Officers were called to Whistlewood Lane, off Tuckaseegee Road, shortly after 4 a.m. and found a man who had been shot in the leg.
He was taken to the hospital but is expected to be OK.
Officers told Channel 9 the victim was walking down Tuckaseegee Road when a car pulled up alongside him and someone inside started shooting.
Police said the man walked to his friend’s house on Whistlewood and called for help.
Investigators have not released a description of the suspect vehicle.
