CALDWELL COUNTY, N.C. — State troopers have reopened South Main Street in Granite Falls following an overnight deadly crash.
The wreck happened just after midnight near Countryside Drive, when troopers said Mitchell Price drove off the road and hit two utility poles before coming to a stop in front of a house.
Investigators old Channel 9 that alcohol and speed are factors in the crash.
Price recently moved to the Taylorsville area and troopers aren't sure if he was familiar with the road.
