VALE, N.C. — A couple was arrested Tuesday for having a marijuana grow operation inside an outbuilding behind their home in Lincoln County, according to the sheriff’s office.
Investigators said a tip led them to Dustin Reinhardt and Cassie Hartsoe’s home on Hallman Mill Road in Vale.

The couple used multiple items to grow the plants, including fans, special lighting and a special enclosure to enhance growth, according to detectives.
Authorities dismantled and seized the items, along with three marijuana plants, according to the sheriff’s office.
Deputies believe the marijuana plants were valued up to $15,000.
Reinhardt and Hartsoe are charged with manufacturing marijuana, possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver marijuana and maintaining a dwelling for controlled substances.
Both received $50,000 bonds.
