Meck Co. representative looking to change NC film incentives

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Mecklenburg County representative Becky Carney has proposed a change in North Carolina's film incentives, and it could force film companies to spend more in order to get reimbursed.

She wants to increase the amount film companies have to spend from $250,000 to $300,000.

They would still be able to get 25 percent back.

The incentives are currently set to run out at the end of this year, but the bill also gets rid of that end date.
