CHARLOTTE, N.C. - On Monday U.S. Congressman Mel Watt will make his second public appearance since the senate rejected his nomination to lead the Federal Housing Finance Agency.
He will be at Johnson C. Smith University to talk about student loans.
On Friday Eyewitness News caught up with the Charlotte congressman and asked him about the senate's decision, but he would not address it.
The White House said it is not giving up on his nomination.
