CHARLOTTE, N.C. - A memorial ride was held Saturday in Rowan County for the family of a slain volunteer firefighter.
The money raised will go to Marcus Kauffman's wife and 10-year-old son.
Kauffman was shot and killed during a robbery at his home in December.
After Kauffman was killed, his wife, Maryanne Kauffman, moved out of the house to Georgia, where she grew up.
She said support from the community has helped her move forward.
