Man arrested after burglary investigation

CABARRUS COUNTY, N.C. — William Jack Daniel Upright was arrested on burglary charges after a joint investigation by the sheriff's office in Cabarrus and Rowan counties.

Upright, 31, was charged by Cabarrus County Sheriff's Office investigators with five counts of felonious breaking and entering, six counts of felonious larceny, two counts of felonious breaking and entering of a motor vehicle, one count of misdemeanor breaking and entering and two counts of misdemeanor larceny. Upright was given a $50,000 secured bail for the charges and is currently in the Rowan County Jail.
