CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Charlotte Hornets owner Michael Jordan celebrates his 54th birthday on Friday.
The former NBA star, who won six championships with the Chicago Bulls, became minority of the Charlotte Bobcats June 15, 2006.
He had 32,292 career points, the fourth all-time scorer in NBA history.
Jordan took over the majority of the team’s control in March 2010.
The Charlotte Hornets have a 24-32 record at the NBA All-Star Break, 2.5 games out of the eighth and final playoff berth.
Charlotte was originally scheduled to host the All-Star Game this week, but was it moved to New Orleans because of the controversial HB2.
