Missing woman's mom making another trip to SC

Police in Myrtle Beach are responding to newly reported developments in the case of a missing teenager, Brittanee Drexel.

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — The mother of a New York woman who disappeared while on a vacation to South Carolina is visiting the state four years later.

The Sun News of Myrtle Beach reports that Dawn Drexel is visiting the Myrtle Beach area on Thursday to mark her daughter's 21st birthday. Members of the public are invited to attend.

Brittanee Drexel was 17 years old when she disappeared in April 2009 during a spring break trip.

Brittanee was last seen leaving a hotel on Ocean Boulevard.

Authorities have searched surrounding counties multiple times but have not found the girl.

No arrests have been made in her disappearance.
