Monroe police looking for 3 after home invasion

MONROE, N.C. — Police are searching for three men in their 20s who forced their way into a Monroe apartment with guns Sunday night, demanded money and then tied a woman up.
 
Monroe police said it happened on Venus Street around 11:45 p.m.

When officers arrived, the victims told them that three black men with handguns and T-shirts over their faces forced their way into the apartment. They said the men took the woman into the kitchen and tied her up and then demanded money and ransacked the apartment before leaving.

Police said one of the men has dreads with red or orange tips. and are asking for anyone with information about the incident to contact Union County Crime Stoppers at 704-283-5600.
