Mooresville firefighters collect cash for Muscular Dystrophy Association

MOORESVILLE, N.C. — The Mooresville Fire Department is asking for help to raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

The department devoted all of Thanksgiving weekend to the Fill the Boot fundraising campaign.

So far this year, Mooresville firefighters have raised $34,000, making them the top MDA fundraising fire department in North Carolina.

Money raised will go to local children and adults living with neuro-muscular disorders.
