WASHINGTON — A government watchdog is out with a new report on just how much was spent on President Trump's inauguration.

The Center for Responsive Politics looked at recently released IRS records. They show the president's inauguration committee raised $107 million through private donors. That's almost twice the previous record.

The committee has spent $104 million.  The report shows that averages out to about  $37,000 per minute for the two days.

By contrast, former President Obama's inauguration was about $8,600 per minute for a 4-day event
