Mother, baby escape Dallas house fire

DALLAS, N.C. — Fire investigators were working to find out what started an overnight house fire in Gaston County.

Firefighters said a mother and her baby were inside the home on Cinderella Dr. in Dallas when the flames broke out around 4 a.m.

They were able to make it out of the home safely.

The fire chief believes the fire may have started on the back deck of the home.
