2 in custody in Charlotte after woman shot, killed in N. Myrtle Beach

NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — Two men in custody in Charlotte are waiting for extradition to South Carolina to face murder charges after a woman was shot and killed in a parking lot in North Myrtle Beach, officials said.

Nicolas Mciver, 21, and Terrell Freeman, 30, are accused of shooting and killing Amanda Fisher, 29.

Freeman was picked up by police for having violated parole on another matter, Dowling said. He had traveled from North Carolina to South Carolina, which was a violation of parole, ABC affiliate WPDE reported.

Mciver was picked up by police for the burning of Fisher's car, and possession of a stolen motor vehicle, officials said said. He is facing burning personal property and possession of a stolen motor vehicle charges, WPDE reported.

In April, Fisher testified in her boyfriend's murder trial in Mecklenburg County. It's not clear if her testimony is linked to her death.

Family and friends of Fisher, who was from Mount Holly, were reeling after she was shot and killed in North Myrtle Beach last Saturday.

Police received a call Saturday morning about a shooting outside a K&W Cafeteria.

Officers found the body of Fisher in the restaurant's parking lot. A police spokesman said it appears she was shot in a car then pushed or dragged out.

Fisher’s family and friends said she moved out of her family's home near downtown Mount Holly about a month ago and went to live in Brunswick County after finding a new job.

Fisher’s neighbors in Mount Holly said she was a kind woman and lived in her grandparents’ former home for most of her life.

Channel 9 saw a poster and balloons on the porch of that house on Monday.

The notes on the poster read, "I love you Amanda" in large print and "Babygirl you will be missed.”

Those who knew Fisher are heartbroken by news of her death.

"She was a nice little girl," neighbor Otis Stevens said.

"We are going to do our very best to bring those who are responsible for it to justice," North Myrtle Beach Police Department spokesperson Pat Dowling said.

Fisher's friends hope the shooter can explain what lead to the death of a beloved friend.

"I just hope you feel guilty and you turn yourself in," Alan Pearson said.
