NORTH CAROLINA — On Sunday, more than 1,000 cyclists start their journey across North Carolina.
The cyclists are starting their trip at Brevard College Sunday morning as part of the annual Mountains to Coast Ride for Cycle North Carolina.
On Monday, the cyclists will ride from Shelby to Matthews.
Those participating will stop in Matthews Monday night for dinner and a movie, and then continue their journey to Carolina Beach on Tuesday.
During the course of the event, the cyclists will cover more than 400 miles.
