Natalie Pasquarella to leave WSOC-TV for NBC-owned flagship in New York

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Natalie Pasquarella will be leaving WSOC-TV on Wednesday to join NBC’s New York station, WNBC.

Pasquarella, 33, has been with WSOC-TV for seven years, starting in August 2008. She co-anchors Eyewitness News at 5:30 p.m. weeknights and anchors the hour-long newscast Eyewitness News at 10 p.m. on TV 64.

In New York, Pasquarella will anchor the evening news on weekends and be a reporter during the week.

Pasquarella started at Channel 9 on the morning news desk. In 2010, she moved to the 10 p.m. newscast and by the end of the year, the show dominated the ratings.

Pasquarella traveled to the White House to interview President Barack Obama one-on-one in 2011, six months before the Democratic National Convention came to Charlotte.

Before coming to Channel 9, Pasquarella was an anchor, reporter and producer at WTOV in Steubenville, Ohio, her hometown. Both stations were owned by Atlanta-based Cox Media.

Pasquarella is a Kent State University alumni and before graduation, she spent time interning at NY1 News.
