NC Ghost Town in the Sky to open

MAGGIE VALLEY, N.C. — A landmark North Carolina amusement park is set to reopen Saturday, but the opening does not come without some setbacks.

State inspectors want an emergency access road cut underneath the chairlift at Ghost Town in the ski for safety reasons.

As a result, park goers will not be able to visit the top of the mountain even though the park will be partially open.

Visitors can still enjoy a free concert Saturday night and dancing.

The park's owner said she plans to have the road completed by Thursday.

If all goes well, there could be another grand opening next week.
