Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools Superintendent Ann Clark said $5.8 million will cover the costs to implement the district’s proposed student assignment plan.

The proposal will change school boundaries, create new school pairings, and add more magnet school seats.

The proposal impacts about 75 schools for the 2018-19 school year.

Clark revealed the plan will impact about 7,000 students.

She also said there would be some changes to the boundary proposal based off parent and board feedback.

More information will be released during a public meeting next Tuesday.
