NCDOT reminds drivers of traffic around McAdenville light display

MCADENVILLE, N.C. — The NCDOT is reminding drivers of traffic information relating to holiday events in McAdenville.

Events start Friday night in the Gaston County town and continue through Dec. 26. The annual display of holiday lights draws crowds every year.

Overhead signs and portable message signs will provide notifications about ramp closings and alternate routes, the NCDOT said.

People driving from Charlotte are advised to use U.S. 74 into McAdenville. An alternate route is from I-85 south to exit 27 to U.S. 74.

The ramp from I-85 north to exit 23 will be closed nightly during events.

People driving north on I-85 are advised to use exit 22.
