CONCORD, N.C. — Concord police is looking for people it says stole credit card information from skimming devices placed at gas stations throughout Concord.

In the surveillance photos, you can see the suspects at stores like Food Lion and Walmart.

The skimming devices were found at three gas stations; Exxon, 1160 Copperfield Boulevard, Kangaroo Express, 1529 Concord Parkway, Exxon, 1110 Union Street.

Police said the skimming devices were placed on card readers on pumps and ATMs.

They used credit card information stolen from devices put on gas pumps, ATMs and retail stores, police said.

“It can happen anywhere and that's a shame,” a driver said. “You work hard for your money.”

In response to the incidents, one of the gas stations is putting red tape on the pump, indicating there is a good chance the pump is compromised

“It's a good way to find out who is doing it,” said Lisa Hammer, who works at the Exxon off Copperfield Boulevard.

She said the skimmer device was found two months ago on pumps 3 and 4.

“You wouldn't expect it from Concord, small town not many people,” Hammer said.

Concord police have warrants out for this woman, Yelenys Rodriguez Peraza, 38, of Miami. They need help identifying the other suspects but say it is unclear if they are working together.

Concord police are asking the public’s help in identifying nearly a dozen people believed to be connected to skimming cases across the city.

Drivers hope everyone is caught soon.

“No excuse at all, everybody works for their money,” Terrance Brevard said. “I get up every morning, every night and go to work, I expect people to do the same thing.”
