Work on a new sculpture in Dilwoth is finished and as of Sunday, neighbors will be able to view it.
An artist from Asheville started work on his timeline structure last Thursday.
The work is made with pieces of streetcar tracks that were paved over years ago and recently salvaged during a new construction project.
Neighbors wanted a way to preserve pieces of history instead of sending the tracks to the scrap yard.
The sculpture was unveiled at the corner of Romany and Dilworth roads.
