Crews fix misspelled sign for I-485 flyover bridge

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A new traffic sign unveiled Thursday in Charlotte had a pretty noticeable misspelling, but officials quickly fixed the mistake by Friday afternoon.

The sign, which is on Johnston Road heading towards the new flyover bridge for Interstate 485, had the town of Pineville spelled as "Pinevllie."

Chopper 9 Skyzoom flew over the misspelled sign Friday morning, before DOT crews corrected it.
