No one hurt after fire destroys home in northwest Charlotte, officials say

CHARLOTTE — A fire destroyed most of a northwest Charlotte home Friday night, according to the Charlotte Fire Department.

Crews responded to a home that was fully involved in a fire on Fox Thorne Drive just after 11 p.m. It took firefighters 23 minutes to put out the fire. Officials said no one was in the home at the time of the fire.

Charlotte Fire said the primary search has been delayed due to the amount of damage done to the home. The fire is still under investigation.
